My name is Chris Christianson. Welcome to the I Smell Packets blog. This is where I talk about networking, security, and other stuff. As you can tell by the name of this blog, I love packets.
I
live in beautiful Northern California. I’m an Information Security Consultant for a number of different companies. I’ve spoken at conferences and written articles for magazines. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and a number of certifications including the GSEC, GCIH, GCIA, GREM, GPEN, GWAPT, GCCC, GISF, GCED, CISSP, CCSE, CCDP, CCNP, IAM, CEH, and IEM.
Besides Information Security Consulting, I am also a Certified SANS Instructor. I teach a nunber of different courses including SANS Security 401: SANS Security Essentials and Security 566: Implementing and Auditing the Critical Security Controls – In-Depth.
